Jay & Joy will be uncompromising on quality, and is surrounding itself with a highly competent quality control team that will ensure that every stage of production complies with the strictest standards, in coordination with the health authorities. The new sanitary control plan includes the following measures, updated by our quality expert, François Bourdichon:
- Updating cleaning practices,
- Systematic final inspection of raw materials and finished products,
- New production environment monitoring plan,
- Internal alert procedures, crisis management and product recalls.

On behalf of the entire Jay&Joy team, we would like to offer our sincerest apologies
for the crisis we have been through and
especially to those who have been ill. What has happened is terrible. We also understand the questions linked to the management of this crisis and the lack of communication.
We have experienced a listeria crisis which was poorly managed at both
operational and communication levels. Obvious mistakes were made in the past, and the legal proceedings did not authorize the former directors to communicate all the information we would have liked to share.
There was also a great deal of confusion regarding the images that circulated and certain incriminating reports. In fact, these images do not come from our production site, which has been in operation since 2020. We'll be delighted to show you around during open days in the coming
months.
This has been a very difficult period for all those who have followed Jay & Joy since its inception, and for us too. Over the last few weeks, we've fought hard not to let the company disappear, to save as many jobs as possible, the production site in France and a brand with strong values
despite the storm we've weathered.
Today, Jay & Joy has been saved, with the vast majority of its employees, new management and a strengthened, highly competent quality control team.
Jay & Joy will henceforth be uncompromising on quality, and its control team will ensure that every stage of production complies with the strictest standards, in coordination with the health authorities. The new sanitary control plan includes, among others, the following measures:
- Systematic liberatory control of raw materials entering
the plant,
- Systematic liberatory control of finished products leaving the plant,
- New production environment monitoring plan,
- Internal alert procedure, crisis management and product recalls.
We will only resume production once all these
measures have been implemented and validated by the health authorities.
At the same time, the legal proceedings linked to the previous listeria crisis will continue with the stakeholders in question,
independently of the new company which was able to save the employees and the production site in the Oise region.
We are committed to ensuring that none of our products leave our plant without meeting the strictest sanitary standards, in close coordination with the health authorities. We understand that the trust you have placed in Jay&Joy has been shaken, and we are determined to restore it.
On behalf of Jay & Joy, we are terribly sorry for all those who have suffered as a result of this situation. Today, we are determined to get Jay & Joy back on a sound footing, and we will provide you with all the transparency we can in the coming weeks to re-establish
a bond of trust. We owe it to our teams and to all of you!

The site
Our pick-up service takes place every day except Mondays and weekends. This means that :
- Orders placed between Friday and Monday will be dispatched on Tuesday at 12pm.
Allow 24 to 48 hours for delivery to your home.
Our transport partner Chronopost ensures of course the respect of the cold chain. If you want to know more about our delivery methods, please visit our special page : here.
Please note however that your order may leave at the next pick-up, depending on our available stocks.
We work in collaboration with Chronopost, which offers a refrigerated home delivery service (Chronofresh) that respects the cold chain 100%. Delivery in 24 to 48 hours once the order has been validated! 💛
We do not deliver to Corsica.
We explicitly guarantee that we will only use your personal data for the information required to send/manage your order. If you have subscribed to our newsletter, we will also use it to send you our various news mailings.

Our products are manufactured in our own workshop at La Croix-Saint-Ouen in the Oise département (60).
You can pay for your order via PayPal, or by credit card (Visa, MasterCard, CB).
The products
Firstly, our products are cruelty-free, and that is priceless. We prepare them with joy and respect for animals and the environment.
- From a health point of view, Jay & Joy products are very interesting because they are perfectly suited to lactose and gluten intolerance.
They also have very interesting nutritional values:
- They do not contain cholesterol or saturated fats, unlike conventional cheese which contains a lot of cholesterol and saturated fats.
- They contain less salt than in a conventional cheese.
- Oilseeds (nuts) are an encyclopaedia of nutrients and minerals such as lipids, which are known as "good fats" (in particular omega-3 and omega-6 fatty acids), vitamin E, B1, B9, potassium, magnesium, calcium, iron, zinc, copper, etc... But they are also protein-rich foods!
- Our products are calorie dense, but in a good way: full of good fats, proteins and carbohydrates, they will allow you to balance your meals properly, and will contribute to keep you in good shape.
All our products should be kept in the refrigerator between 2°C and 7°C ❄️
The sticker affixed to our products is designed to raise consumer awareness. As our products are not pasteurized, the risks are the same as for raw-milk cheeses or other uncooked products.
Our products have a best-before date of around 45 days.
We guarantee our customers delivery of our products at least 1 week before the BBD!
Our fresh products, after opening, should be consumed within 3-5 days. 🧀
We have not yet conducted bacteriological tests on the products after freezing. Until these results are available, we recommend that you do not freeze the products.
Our blueberry Jeanne has a creamy texture that can easily be used in cooking, in a sauce or in cream for example.

Shredded Joy is also designed to melt perfectly.
The taste and texture of cheeses are linked to the development of bacteria, most of which pose no particular health risk. However, despite the strict controls in place in the food industry, a bacterium called "listeria monocytogenes" can sometimes contaminate certain "raw" cheeses.
Consumption of soft, raw-milk cheeses can cause listeriosis through ingestion of a contaminated product. The disease is relatively mild in adults, with classic symptoms such as fever, headaches and digestive problems. In the elderly or immunocompromised, it can be more serious, resulting in a bloodstream infection.
In pregnant women, the infection can lead to serious symptoms such as miscarriage or premature delivery.
Pregnant women are therefore strongly advised not to consume refined products.
As this is a fresh and perishable product, returns are unfortunately not possible.(In accordance with article L. 221-28 of the Consumer Code)
Our entire range is gluten-free.
Our supplier works with cashew nuts from Vietnam and India.
The processing of the nuts is done mechanically, with respect for the animals and human beings.
Our almond producer is located in the Noto valley, in Sicily.
We choose to work with the actors of a reasoned and organic agriculture.

Our ferments are French and vegan. We have created a vegetable matrix that takes the place of lactose as a base, so that the mould can develop as it would in animal cheese making.
